Visitor Tracking and Statistics
How many visitors does your website have? How did they find it and how long did they stay on your site? Which pages did they visit, and which pages are rarely visited? Have the search engines visited it recently?
Answers to questions like these and many others can help you to fine tune your website content to attract exactly the visitor traffic and behaviour you want.
Static or Dynamics Statistics?
There are two main methods of gathering website statistics: static and dynamic.
- Static: this method summarises visitor behaviour by analysing the web server logs to produce a report based on parameters that you specify.
- Dynamic: with this method, code is embedded in each page you wish to track and the statistics are updated every time the page is visited.
Each method has its own particular advantages and often a combination of both is the best option.
Our Statistics Services
We recommend several statistics applications which will provide the information you need, including AWStats, StatCounter and of course Google Analytics.
Adding statistics is a standard part of our process for all the website projects we develop and therefore included at no extra charge.
We can also add statistics to most third-party developed websites for a reasonable charge.
